Chickasaw Nation, Ok — Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

The Chickasaw Nation Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) in Tishomingo provides nutrition education and commodity foods including fresh produce, frozen meats, and traditional foods to eligible tribal members. Administered by the Chickasaw Nation Department of Health since 1984, the program is designed to promote health and raise nutrition levels among low-income First American households who meet USDA income guidelines and are not receiving SNAP benefits. The Tishomingo Nutrition Center serves residents throughout the Chickasaw Nation treaty territory as part of a network of five locations across south-central Oklahoma.
