Tulsa CARES Food+Health Pantry

Tulsa CARES Food+Health Pantry is a nonprofit organization that serves people living with HIV/AIDS in Tulsa and 23 counties throughout northeastern Oklahoma. Over its 20-year history, the organization has evolved from a $10,000 operation to a $200,000-per-year nutrition program that operates a food pantry designed like a grocery store, allowing clients to select their own nutritious foods. The pantry is supported by community partnerships including local farmers markets and offers additional services including weekly meals, nutrition education classes, and dietetic services to address food insecurity and health disparities.
