Lift Up – Preston’s Pantry

Lift UP – Preston's Pantry is a nonprofit food pantry operated by Lift Urban Portland that serves low-income residents in Northwest and Downtown Portland. Founded in 1980 as a grassroots initiative by community members from various congregations and synagogues, the organization acquired Preston's Pantry in 2007 to expand its food security efforts, now serving over 17,600 individuals annually with fresh and non-perishable foods in a shopping-style pantry environment. The pantry is located at First United Methodist Church and offers eligible residents a selection of fresh produce, dairy, meat, eggs, and dry goods while also supporting community connection and promoting healthy life choices.
