PACS Mobile Pantry (COW)

Portland Adventist Community Services (PACS) operates the Mobile Food Pantry, also known as the PACS COW (Commodities On Wheels), a nonprofit mobile food program that brings groceries to underserved neighborhoods across the Portland area. The innovative program, originally built from a converted snowmobile trailer, features a grocery store-style setup where families can select their own food, traveling to nine different community locations monthly from as far as Estacada to Northwest Portland. PACS, a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to alleviating poverty and food insecurity, also operates an on-site food pantry, thrift stores, and a dental clinic serving low-income residents throughout the Portland and greater metro region.
