Preston’s Portland Free Food Pantry Lift UP

Preston's Pantry is a free food pantry operated by Lift Urban Portland, a nonprofit organization, in partnership with First United Methodist Church. The pantry serves low-income residents in Northwest and Downtown Portland, allowing eligible visitors to shop for groceries up to twice a month from a selection that includes fresh produce, dairy, meat, eggs, and dry and canned goods. Since acquiring the pantry in 2007, Lift Urban Portland has expanded it into a shopping-style food market and now serves over 16,000 people annually as part of its mission to reduce hunger and improve the lives of residents in the community.
