Love Project Food Pantry / Mid Lane Cares

Love Project Food Pantry, operated by Mid Lane Cares, is a free food pantry serving residents of Veneta, Elmira, and the surrounding Fern Ridge area in Lane County, Oregon. The program distributes approximately 2-3 tons of food monthly to an average of 700 people, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, and disabled veterans, with support from one employee and about 25 volunteers. Mid Lane Cares began as a grassroots effort with food baskets distributed from a garage and has grown to operate eight programs serving the 475-square-mile Fern Ridge community.
