Greater Washington Co. Food Bank Distribution – Avella

Greater Washington County Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger throughout Washington County, Pennsylvania, with the Avella distribution site serving as a key food distribution location in the rural community. For over 35 years, the organization has distributed food and nutritional information to food-insecure residents through a network of multiple distribution sites, with approximately 30% of their recipients being children and 20% seniors. The food bank uses a "Truck to Trunk" model to bring fresh produce and groceries directly to rural areas, ensuring convenient access to nutritious food for families and individuals in need.
