The Mama-Tee.com Community Fridge at Fairmount Bicycles is part of the Mama-Tee Community Fridge Project, a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Michelle Nelson that provides free food access through community refrigerators across Philadelphia. Launched at Fairmount Bicycles in April 2021, the fridge operates 24/7 as a mutual aid resource where community members can donate and access fresh food without barriers, complemented by an adjacent community pantry stocked with shelf-stable goods. The project has served over 200,000 residents across 18 locations throughout Philadelphia since its inception in July 2020.
