Mama-Tee.com Community Fridge – North Philadelphia

The Mama-Tee Community Fridge Project, founded by Dr. Michelle Nelson in 2020, operates multiple community refrigerators across Philadelphia to address food insecurity by providing free, fresh food to neighborhoods lacking access to grocery stores. As a nonprofit organization operating through fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, the project has grown to manage 18 fridge locations throughout the city and has served over 200,000 families, supplementing donations with food collected from restaurants and grocery stores to ensure consistent availability.
