Mama-Tee.com Community Fridge – West Girard Avenue

Mama-Tee Community Fridge is a nonprofit initiative founded by Michelle Nelson to address food insecurity in Philadelphia neighborhoods lacking affordable access to fresh produce and healthy food options. Established in July 2020, the project operates multiple community refrigerators stocked daily with fresh fruits and vegetables donated by local restaurants, farms, and food brands, allowing community members to take what they need free of charge. The organization has expanded to 18 fridge locations across Philadelphia and has served over 170,000 residents since its inception.
