WISSAHICKON BOYS & GIRLS CLUB (Summer Meal Site)
About
Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia operates the Wissahickon Club, which was founded by Germantown Quakers in 1885 and became the first Boys Club member to serve an African American population when it joined the national federation in 1906. The organization provides youth with safe spaces, mentorship, academic support, and life-enhancing programs through after-school and summer offerings. As part of a larger network of clubs serving Philadelphia's communities for over 135 years, the Wissahickon location offers meals, education, sports, arts, and workforce development initiatives to address youth challenges including food insecurity.
