Saint Winifred Food Pantry
About
St. Winifred Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving food-insecure individuals and families living predominantly in Pittsburgh's South Hills. Founded in 1982 by St. Winifred parishioner Lois Yates and now run by over 100 community volunteers, the pantry operates as a coalition effort involving multiple parishes and St. Vincent de Paul Conferences to ensure no one in need is turned away. The organization provides free groceries and essential food items to eligible families and is a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, participating in initiatives that promote healthy eating habits.
