Berks Schuylkill Helping Harvest Food Bank

Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank, a nonprofit organization based in Reading, PA, collects, purchases, stores, and distributes over nine million pounds of food annually to more than 350 partner programs serving hungry individuals and families in Berks and Schuylkill counties. The organization has provided critical food assistance for over 40 years, distributing over $20 million worth of food annually and serving as a Partner Food Bank of Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. Through its mission to provide nutritious food to people facing hunger, Helping Harvest also operates community programs including a Community Kitchen and offers support services such as nutrition education and assistance with benefits enrollment.
