Nickerson Community Center Pantry

Nickerson Community Center Pantry is a free food pantry operated by Nickerson Community Center, a nonprofit multifaceted social service agency located in the Olneyville section of Providence, RI. Founded in 1884 to provide childcare for children of working mothers, the organization expanded significantly after a 1916 gift funded the construction of the Nickerson House, which launched Providence's first community health center, and continues serving the community from its current location. The pantry is a member of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and provides food assistance to residents in the 02909 area.
