Rhode Island Community Food Bank

About

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is a nonprofit organization founded in 1982 that serves as the central distribution hub for a statewide network of 140 member agencies, providing food assistance to approximately 89,000 Rhode Islanders each month. The organization distributes millions of pounds of food annually—including pantry staples, fresh produce, meats, dairy, and culturally relevant foods—to food pantries, meal sites, senior programs, and school programs across Rhode Island. As a member of Feeding America, the national food bank network, the Food Bank operates from its facility in Providence with a mission to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger.
