Spartanburg Soup Kitchen

The Spartanburg Soup Kitchen is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1982 that serves the poor and homeless of Spartanburg by providing hot, well-balanced meals and clothing assistance. Operating as a Christian ministry, the organization opens its doors 365 days a year and serves between 350 and 500 guests daily, supported by approximately 100 volunteers from local churches and community groups. The Soup Kitchen also collects and distributes new and used clothing items with emphasis on winter necessities, working to address both immediate hunger and underlying community needs.
