Morton Memorial UMC Food Ministry

Morton Memorial United Methodist Church Food Ministry is a community-based food pantry providing nutritious food to families facing food insecurity in the surrounding counties. Beginning modestly when a community member started sharing bread with neighbors, the ministry has grown into a significant operation distributing over 20,000 pounds of food monthly to hundreds of families, partnering with local food banks, farmers, and community organizations. The church-led nonprofit recently developed The Well, a dedicated facility designed to provide a more dignified, shopping-style food distribution experience with expanded services and wraparound support.
