The Nashville Food Project
About
The Nashville Food Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011 dedicated to bringing people together to grow, cook, and share nourishing food to build healthy community and expand food access in Nashville. The organization operates urban agricultural sites, community gardens, and kitchen facilities where they prepare from-scratch meals using recovered, donated, and garden-grown ingredients to distribute through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations serving low-income neighborhoods across Davidson County. Through their Community Meals program, The Nashville Food Project prepares thousands of meals weekly and engages volunteers in their mission to address food insecurity while cultivating community resilience.
