DHR Health Brownsville Food Pantry

DHR Health Brownsville Food Pantry is a community resource launched by DHR Health, a local hospital system serving the Rio Grande Valley and Hidalgo County. The pantry was founded to address food insecurity among patients and residents, with initial leadership recognizing the need when patients were checking into the hospital system primarily for meals and shelter. The food pantry stocks non-perishable items including canned goods, cereal, and peanut butter, and has served hundreds of individuals in the community.
