Tarrant Area Food Bank

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB), founded in 1982, is a nonprofit regional clearinghouse for donated food serving Fort Worth and 13 surrounding North Texas counties. As a certified affiliate of Feeding America, TAFB distributes fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable products to approximately 450 partner hunger-relief agencies and feeding programs, providing over one million meals per week to families, children, and seniors in need. Beyond food distribution, the organization offers culinary job training, nutrition education, SNAP support, and community health programs including the Food RX initiative addressing food insecurity as a social determinant of health.
