Target Hunger – Food Distribution

Founded in 1989, Target Hunger is one of Houston's largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to alleviating hunger and its root causes in the city's northeast and east neighborhoods. The organization operates multiple food pantries, senior delivery programs, mobile pantries, food fairs, and two community gardens, while also offering navigation services that connect clients to healthcare, housing, job training, and other critical resources to address the underlying causes of food insecurity. In 2024, Target Hunger distributed food to nearly 24,000 individuals across the region.
