Newton Food Share

Newton Food Share is a nonprofit food pantry that has served Newton County since November 2004, operating from the old hospital on Main Street. The organization's mission is to provide groceries to qualifying residents, distributing food to an average of 300 families representing approximately 800 people monthly through partnerships with the Southeast Texas Food Bank and local grocery stores. Newton Food Share operates multiple pantry locations across Newton County and welcomes volunteers to support its mission of ensuring no one in the community goes without food.
