Austin Street Community Fridge

Austin Street Community Fridge is a community-led initiative providing free plant-based food and essential items to San Antonio residents operating on a "take what you need, leave what you don't" model. Founded in July 2020 in response to food insecurity exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and racial disparities, the fridge is hosted by Swift Movers LLC and operates as a grassroots effort to address food insecurity while reducing food waste through community donations and volunteer support.
