Galveston County Food Bank

Founded in 2004, Galveston County Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger in Galveston County by distributing fresh produce, meat, and nonperishables to those in need. The organization serves approximately 22,000 people annually and provides direct-to-client programs that pair food literacy and nutrition education with distributions of nutritious food, while also connecting individuals and families to additional resources and support services. Working in collaboration with partner agencies including Feeding Texas, Houston Food Bank, and United Way, the Food Bank addresses food insecurity across the county and welcomes volunteer involvement from individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses.
