Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf

Founded in 1974 to fight hunger and food insecurity throughout Chittenden County, Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf (now known as Feeding Chittenden) is a nonprofit food pantry serving Burlington, Vermont. Originally starting as a small operation providing a three-day supply of groceries to a few dozen families monthly, the organization has grown significantly and now serves over 12,000 people annually through its food shelf program, meal services, and grocery delivery initiatives.
