A Small Hand: A Specialist Infant Pantry

A Small Hand is a specialist infant pantry serving families in Shenandoah County with children newborn through 2 years old, operated by Shenandoah Valley Local Ministries. The pantry originated in 2010 as a ministry of Edinburg Christian Church to supplement government assistance and was adopted by Shenandoah Valley Local Ministries in 2017 to continue its vital community mission. A Small Hand provides monthly supplies of diapers, wipes, formula, and other baby essentials to families enrolled in the Women, Infant, & Children (WIC) program, having distributed over 152,000 diapers in 2025 alone.
