Magnuson Park Community Food Pantry

The Magnuson Park Community Food Pantry was established in 2019 as a collaboration between Solid Ground, the University Family YMCA, Mercy Housing Northwest, and the University District Food Bank to address food insecurity in the Magnuson Park neighborhood, which was designated as a food desert due to limited nearby grocery stores and public transportation. The pantry provides fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and other essentials to residents of nearby affordable housing complexes and the surrounding community, serving approximately 100 households weekly.
