Makah Food Bank

The Makah Food Bank, operated by the Makah Tribe's Social Services Department in Neah Bay, distributes free food to low-income households on the Makah Indian Reservation and surrounding community. The food bank serves tribal members and community residents through the federal Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), with a focus on supporting vulnerable populations including the elderly and disabled. In collaboration with the Makah Food Sovereignty Program, the food bank also distributes traditional first foods such as locally-caught salmon, halibut, and shellfish to strengthen community food security and cultural connection to traditional resources.
