Sokaogon-Chippewa — Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

The Sokaogon Chippewa Community Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) provides USDA foods to eligible households on the Sokaogon Chippewa reservation and in surrounding counties including Forest, Langlade, Oneida, Vilas, Florence, and Marinette. The program offers a variety of dry, canned, cooler, frozen, and fresh produce foods, and is part of a USDA Self-Determination Demonstration Project that allows the tribe to procure tribally-selected foods including locally-sourced items like bison, wild rice, and fresh produce.
