The Fort Atkinson Food Pantry, located at 715 Jones Avenue in Fort Atkinson, WI, is a non-sectarian nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families within the Fort Atkinson School District. Participating in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a federally funded program administered through the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the pantry served an average of 216 families with 667 individuals per month in 2022 and also provides extra food to approximately 160 elementary, middle school and high school students weekly during the school year. Supported by local churches including Peter’s Episcopal Church, First United Methodist Church, Grace United Church and First Congregational Church, as well as community organizations like the Knights of Columbus, the pantry operates on the principle of treating every family with respect and dignity while empowering those served with access to adequate nutrition and emergency food resources.
