The Fridge at Joannes Park

The Fridge at Joannes Park is a free community refrigerator located at 315 S Baird Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin, operated by the Joannes Park Neighborhood Association. The initiative serves as a hub for sharing food to reduce food insecurity and combat food waste, offering 24/7 access to anyone in need with no questions asked—following the principle of “take what you need, share what you can.” Established during the pandemic to address growing food insecurity in the community, The Fridge operates with support from generous donors, volunteers, and community partners, allowing residents to exchange fresh produce, non-perishable items, and meals while fostering neighborhood connection and compassion.
