Saint Alphonsus Congregation’s Food Distribution Center, also known as the St. Alphonsus Food Pantry, operates in Greendale, Wisconsin as a charitable ministry of St. Alphonsus Parish. Founded in 1984 by Iris Nowak, the food pantry serves approximately 50 families per month, providing food boxes valued at over $50 along with fresh groceries including meat, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. Distribution occurs once monthly, typically on the first Sunday of each month from 12-2pm by appointment, serving residents in the area between Layton and Rawson avenues and 35th through 92nd Streets. As part of the parish’s flagship ministry to the poor since 1938, the pantry maintains strict confidentiality and offers referrals to outside assistance programs when appropriate.
