House of Mercy Homeless Center is a 25-bed facility located at 320 Lincoln Street in Janesville, Wisconsin that provides short-term emergency shelter to homeless single women and families, offering access to housing, job placement, childcare resources, and case management services. Established in 1996, the nonprofit center operates as a collaborative project of Mercy Health System and has served over 9,000 individuals since its inception, with more than half being children. The center remains open 24 hours and is operated primarily by health system volunteers, representing one of the few homeless centers in the United States managed by a health system.
