Couleecap

Couleecap is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and community action agency serving Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties in Southwest Wisconsin, with offices located at 4439 Mormon Coulee Road in La Crosse. The organization fights poverty by providing comprehensive support services including housing assistance, food programs, energy assistance, job support, and home rehabilitation to low-income individuals and families. Couleecap has a notable history in the region, having received federal funding for housing support since 1989 and creating Wisconsin’s first Housing First program in 2009, establishing itself as a pioneer in addressing homelessness.
