The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse
About
The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, a nonprofit food bank founded in 1998, is the only free and local food bank within a 90-mile radius, serving food insecurity in La Crosse and surrounding counties across Wisconsin and Minnesota. Located at 1240 Clinton Street, the organization collects approximately 1.5 million pounds of food annually and distributes it to over 120 meal sites, food pantries, and youth programs without charging participating organizations or clients. In addition to food recovery and distribution, the Hunger Task Force operates the Kane Street Community Garden on the North Side, which produces fresh produce free of charge to community members from March through October.
