WAFER Food Pantry

WAFER Food Pantry is the largest food pantry serving La Crosse County and surrounding areas, operating as a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger in the community. Founded over 40 years ago, WAFER serves approximately 1,500 families monthly and distributes roughly 1.5 million meals annually through its main location at 1603 George Street in La Crosse, Wisconsin, along with its innovative Mobile Food Pantry program that reaches 19 locations throughout the county. The organization offers additional services including a senior food assistance program, backpack food assistance for students, and nutrition education while maintaining a commitment to sustainability through renewable energy initiatives.
