About

The Lac du Flambeau Food Distribution Program is a USDA-funded food assistance program administered by the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. The program provides nutritious food items to eligible income households living on the Lac du Flambeau reservation and to enrolled members of federally recognized tribes residing in Vilas, Oneida, and southern Iron counties. In addition to monthly food packages, the program offers nutrition education services including weekly cooking demonstrations, nutrition lessons, home visits for meal planning and food preservation guidance, and nutrition handouts with healthy recipes.
