About
The Goodman Community Center is a private nonprofit organization serving Madison, Wisconsin’s East Side that has been strengthening lives and securing futures since its founding in 1943 as the Atwood Community Center. Located in a restored iron works factory at 149 Waubesa Street, the center serves over 25,000 people annually through comprehensive programs including preschool and afterschool care, an alternative high school, fitness center, food pantry, meals and activities for older adults, and community event spaces.
