About

The Lussier Community Education Center is a nonprofit organization located at 55 S. Gammon Road on Madison’s west side, operating since the late 1970s when it was founded as the Wexford Ridge Neighborhood Center. The center, housed in a green-built facility on the grounds of Jefferson Middle School and Memorial High School, provides comprehensive community services including free K-12 afterschool and summer programs, a food pantry, senior meals, and employment training, with a particular focus on serving youth from low-income families and families of color. Through partnerships with organizations like the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Children’s Theater of Madison, and UW-Madison, the LCEC enriches education while building community and creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds across Madison.
