Rooted WI, Inc. is a Madison nonprofit organization committed to growing community-led, sustainable food systems through urban agriculture education, food production, and land access. Evolved from the merger of Center for Resilient Cities and Community GroundWorks, Rooted operates three urban farm sites, manages over 70 community gardens across Dane County, partners with 12 Madison schools on farm-to-school programming, and hosts year-round community events focused on food, land, and learning.
