The Beacon

The Beacon is a daytime drop-in shelter and resource center located at 615 East Washington Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin, operated by Catholic Charities as a public-private partnership with Dane County, the City of Madison, and the United Way. Serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in Dane County, The Beacon provides comprehensive services including meals, showers, laundry, mail services, case management, mental health counseling, and employment and housing resources, operating 365 days a year from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The organization is deeply committed to community involvement through volunteer programs and partnerships with local agencies to help guests achieve stability and dignity.
