The River Food Pantry

The River Food Pantry is Dane County’s busiest nonprofit food pantry, located at 3301 Packers Ave in Madison, serving over 4,000 people weekly since its founding in 2006. The organization provides free groceries for pickup or delivery, freshly prepared to-go meals, mobile meals, community meals, online grocery ordering, and after-hours food lockers, along with redistributing rescued food from local retailers to minimize waste. Beyond food assistance, The River builds community through volunteer opportunities and partnerships with local organizations to address food insecurity across the region.
