Capuchin Community Services – St. Ben’s Community Meal

St. Ben’s Community Meal, located at 930 W. State Street in downtown Milwaukee, is a ministry of Capuchin Community Services, a nonprofit operated by the Capuchin Franciscan friars of the Province of Saint Joseph. Founded in 1970, St. Ben’s serves free hot meals six nights a week (Sunday through Friday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) to Milwaukee’s homeless and food-insecure populations, with each meal prepared and served by volunteer sponsor groups from local faith communities, organizations, and civic groups. The program emphasizes community and hospitality, welcoming all guests in a warm, safe environment while also connecting individuals with additional services including legal consultation, laundry facilities, and referrals to support resources.
