St Benedict the Moor Parish

St. Benedict the Moor Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, located at 930 West State Street. Founded in 1908 by the Capuchins to serve the African American Catholic community, the parish has a rich history of educational and social ministry, including operating a school that served generations of students and launching the community meal program in 1970. Today, St. Benedict the Moor remains an active and ethnically diverse parish committed to serving those in need through community programs and spiritual ministries.
