The Gathering

The Gathering of Southeast Wisconsin is a nonprofit hunger-relief organization founded in 1982 that operates four meal sites across Milwaukee, providing free, freshly prepared meals seven days a week to residents facing food insecurity. With a dedicated network of 1,500-2,000 volunteers annually, The Gathering served nearly 130,000 meals in 2025 and also connects guests with resources addressing homelessness, mental health, housing assistance, and access to benefits. The organization welcomes all community members without regard to race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
