Victory Garden Initiative

Victory Garden Initiative is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 and based in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood that builds communities to grow their own food and create a socially just, environmentally sustainable food system. Through their annual Great Milwaukee Blitz program, they deliver and install hundreds of raised garden beds across Milwaukee County in backyards, schools, parks, and community spaces, while also operating a 1.5-acre urban farm that provides free produce to all community members and offering youth and adult educational programs focused on food independence and sustainable agriculture.
