St. Stephen’s Food Pantry and Secondhand Closet

St. Stephen’s Food Pantry and Secondhand Closet, located at 5700 Pheasant Hill Road in Monona, is a community ministry of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church that has served families in Monona and the greater Madison area since 1978. The organization operates a choice-based food pantry where clients select items for their own use, along with a secondhand clothing closet, and partners with Second Harvest and TEFAP to provide essential groceries and clothing to individuals and families facing food insecurity. In 2025, the pantry served over 10,000 individuals across thousands of households, and continues this mission through donations from local churches, businesses, and community members.
