The Open Cupboard – Food Distribution Center
About
The Open Cupboard is a community-supported food shelf located at 402 2nd Avenue in Osceola, Wisconsin, dedicated to providing essential food assistance to residents experiencing food insecurity. Founded in 1993 as a small closet operation at St. Joseph’s Church by community member Rosanne Anderson, the organization has grown to serve over 750 families annually while distributing more than 120,000 pounds of food through its current 3,500 square foot facility. Operating as a nonprofit funded by community donations, The Open Cupboard offers 7-10 days of groceries, household items, clothing, bread, and seasonal supplies, while also operating a BackPack program for local schools and providing monthly meal kits to reduce food insecurity in the Osceola and Dresser communities.
