Family Advocates Inc

Family Advocates, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the eradication of abuse and the safety of children and families in the Platteville, Wisconsin community. Located at 305 Eastside Rd in Platteville, the organization provides prevention and intervention services to victims and survivors of domestic, sexual, child, and elder abuse across Grant, Lafayette, and Iowa Counties, including emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups—all free and confidential. Founded in the 1970s with a crisis line established in March 1981 and a shelter opened in August 1986, Family Advocates has grown to operate multiple offices and programs serving its tri-county region.
