Pioneer Provisions

Pioneer Provisions is a free food pantry operated by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, located at the northeast entrance of Glenview Commons (Door E5), that serves currently enrolled UW-Platteville students experiencing food insecurity. The pantry operates in a self-service shopping format and provides an array of essential items including proteins, grains, canned and dried fruits and vegetables, convenience meals, special dietary options, and hygiene products, with no income verification or extensive paperwork required—only a Campus Card swipe. Through partnerships with campus dining services, the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and community foundations, Pioneer Provisions has expanded its offerings to include fresh produce, milk, yogurt, school supplies, household items, and clothing through its companion Pioneer Restore free-store program.
